Provider questions

How long does approval take?

We aim to review and approve applications within 48 hours. You will receive an email confirming your account is active and ready to receive RFQs.

What disciplines can I quote on?

You can quote on any discipline you are accredited or certified to examine: LOLER, PSSR, PUWER, LEV, Power Press, Electrical, and specialist categories. Your profile determines which RFQs you receive.

Can I decline RFQs?

Yes, absolutely. Declining an RFQ is free and carries no penalty. We only charge a lead fee when you actively choose to submit a quote.

How do I get paid?

You invoice the customer directly for the inspection work. CompareEngineering.com invoices you separately for lead fees (monthly) and commission (on contract award).

What information do customers see about me?

Customers see your company name, accreditation status (e.g. UKAS number), disciplines covered, and the structured quote you submit. They do not see your internal costings.

Is there a minimum quote volume?

No. You can quote on as many or as few RFQs as you like. There is no obligation to respond to every invitation.

Can I set my own prices?

Yes. You submit your own pricing for each RFQ. CompareEngineering.com does not set or influence your rates. Customers choose based on price, accreditation, and coverage.

What happens if I win a contract?

We release the customer's contact details to you so you can arrange mobilisation directly. A 7.5% commission on first-year contract value is invoiced to you after award.
